Hi, my name is Jody Chaffin. I am the president of Interactive Dynamics. This video series is designed to share what we have learned about mobile app development over the past 5 years.
This first video is to introduce you to our company and why we have decided to offer this video series. The App Pros is a software company specializing in mobile app development for Android and iOS devices. We also provide custom software design and development services for any platform including windows and web.
The App Pros was started in June 2011 by my partner David Rutter and myself. In January 2015, our company was purchased by one of our customers and a parent company was formed named Interactive Dynamics. The mission of Interactive Dynamics is to enable entrepreneurial-minded leaders to transform their ideas into innovative technology solutions. The App Pros is huge part of that as we work with entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into mobile apps and custom software to solve problems they or their industry face on a daily basis.
Over the past five years, we have worked with a wide range of companies and individuals from Fortune 500 companies like Xerox to people that had an idea for an app while sitting at a stop light. We have learned a lot about the dos and don’ts of mobile app development, and that is what we plan to share in this video series.
We will be releasing these videos on a regular basis and will try our best to keep them short and to the point. Future videos topics will include:
- Why mobile apps?
- The two main types of people we usually work with which are entrepreneurs and internal innovators
- Things to consider before deciding on a mobile app
- What does the process of creating a mobile app look like
- How do you protect your intellectual property
- What resources are available for startups
- How to market a mobile app
We also plan to include videos that let you hear from entrepreneurs and internal innovators that have already had success with their mobile apps. We will also give you a look into the day in a life of our different team members and their roles on a mobile app project.
